What Does Chiropractic Care Do?
Many of our new patients are confused about what, exactly, chiropractic care does. Essentially, chiropractic is a system of care that assesses the structure of the spine to locate any misalignments (also called subluxations) that cause interference and dysfunction in the nervous system and then removes those interferences through chiropractic adjustments.
When dysfunction is removed from the nervous system, the body functions optimally and can heal on its own, naturally, as God intended.
Torque Release Technique
At Authority Chiropractic, we specialize in Torque Release Technique (TRT), which is an extremely gentle, targeted method of adjustment. This method is sometimes referred to as tonal technique because it focuses on restoring the proper tone to the nervous system. Just as our muscles have tone, our nerves do as well.
When your nerve tone is either too high or too low, you can experience a variety of symptoms caused by the nervous system’s inability to properly conduct electrical impulses between your brain and body. TRT restores proper tone through the use of a specialized adjustment instrument that is highly accurate and does not involve any of the twisting, cracking or popping found in manual adjustments.
